Project Update: The big update update!
Moonlight Mothman and Fairy Floss Bat are pretty much complete! Dazzle Heart is also virtually done, but the material on the tail needs to be swapped to the material on the ears. Otherwise they're all looking spectacular and I can't wait to see them in person.
Twilight is VERY close to done, we're just doing a little bit of color correcting and trying to source a tie-dye fabric that more closely matches the concept art.
Last but not least for this batch of plush updates is Rancid Heart Beelzebear! I actually gasped a bit when I saw his cute, fluffy eyebrows. They look so perfect.
The edits here mostly involve color correcting and altering a few details that didn't translate well into 3D. Overall fairly minor things though, so I'm confident Rancid Heart will look perfect in another revision or two.
I've received a lot of questions about the Rotwell shaker keychain so I'm especially happy to share that the art is complete and I ordered some samples this week! They'll be about 3" tall with a cute, blue lobster clasp. I hope to have pictures of the completed keychain by mid-december or so.
Project Update: New name!
I caught a cold last week and haven't been up for doing much outside of drawing here and there. I'm not on the mend just yet, but do hope I will be soon!
Despite all that, I am moving forward with some exciting changes this week. For awhile now I have felt like the name "careweres" doesn't really represent the project anymore. We started with 6 'were' wolves but now they're outnumbered by a whole menagerie of other monsters and it just doesn't make much sense!
So going forward the careweres will be called Snughouls!
This opens us up to explore all the cute n' creepy nooks and crannies we want, without being limited by a name (even Rotwell can be a snughoul!) AND it's quite snappy to boot.
I hope you all enjoy the new name, and are looking forward to a whole host of updates once I'm a little less sick! I know I have a lot to share as soon as I'm not feeling so crummy 😜

Hello!! I had a question about order changes! After forms came out, I added two other plushies to my order, one of them being mothman. after seeing gutsy though Ive been wondering if swapping out a plush for another is possible.
Project Update: Updated timeline-
Good news is, the new envelopes look great! The previous felt envelopes were of really questionable quality. I often had to resew the stitching, the heart buttons were scratched, and they were just generally a mess. When they looked great it was great but the quality was way too rocky and I'd end up with a pile of unusable envelopes.
Here's the new ones! Much much sturdier. I also ordered a bunch of extras this time since I know they're prone to getting lost or eaten by peoples dogs
Bad news... it's taken a very long time to get these envelopes made. I honestly thought it would take a few days to do the sample, few more days to send the sample over to my plush manufacturer to confirm it can attach, and that'd be that and we could do the bulk order. I've never had any sample take so long.
I was just told the bulk order of them will take 8 weeks...
This manufacturer is also making schoolboy Poe's little backpack, and I've worked with them before so I know the quality and everything will be as expected, but I really didn't expect this much of a wait for such a small item.
SO.
I'm very very sorry for the delay. I'll keep everyone posted as things move along, currently it's just waiting around.
The badly drawn Poe pins are in production now, along with the sticker set, patch, and badge. So I can pack up those freebie goodie bags for everyone in advance. I've also put aside all of the extra items everyone ordered so that I can pack and ship quickly. Once the plushies are here it'll be very smooth!
Here's the artwork for the little sticker set:
Here's the 3" iron-on patch:
and here's the button! Just the bit in the circle
If you have any questions please feel free to message me at [email protected]
Again I'm really sorry for the wait. Thank you for sticking around! Poes and Karls will be on their way as soon as possible :>

I was just looking at the pledge manager again, and I saw that Krampus is now “Rancid Heart Beelzebear”. Is there a reason their name was changed? And will they still have the different design from the beelzebears, or will the design be changed to look like the other beelzebears? I really liked the different design (I also really wish cosmic has made it in the last pole), so I’m worried it won’t be the initial design (different face, ears, mouth, and hands/paws instead of hooves).
Project Update: Character art! (And meat pop updates pt.2)
Between celebrating halloween with the fam, and taking on an old foster pup with some health issues I haven't been online much this past week and some change.
Things are settling down again now though, and I've started the marathon that is drawing all the newbies! First up is Gutsy and Twilight, and I hope to get Dazzle Heart sketched tonight as well so all the werewolves will be finished.
Unfortunately plush updates were pretty scarce this week as well (which gives me hope that there will be lots of new stuff next week), but we do have a visual on the pink meat pop!
That means both variants are finished, and will hopefully be on their way to me soon so I can get some photos of them with the careweres.
Finally I am going to address the Gutsy belly badge concerns in an update next week. For now just know that I do read every comment and take them seriously. I share many of the same concerns and am not someone who settles for "good enough" when I know perfection is possible, so rest assured this is something I will continue to discuss with the manufacturer!

Project Update: All backers pls read!! - Partial Shipment update
So last week was a total wash due to a family emergency that had me flying to the Bay Area for the past week (which especially was terrible timing as I ended up missing the Blasphemeet show last weekend).
I just got back, so I locked shipping addresses for those receiving rewards that are NOT the Magenta or marbled figures.
I'll be spending the next day or two trimming, assembling, and packaging your orders - I realize that I didn't give y'all a chance to update your address, so if you got an email saying that your address was locked and you need it unlocked to edit, please just email me at [email protected].
Hope y'all are doing well, and looking forward to finally getting some of these toys out to you!
Thanks again for all your patience, and I due to the mold failure it's looking like everyone else will be getting their figures in the New Year ;_;
THAT SAID - there is some potentially good news.
So due to the way a small toy production factory works (both Mile High and other sofubi houses in Japan) work, is that due to the nature of how vinyl is poured into molds, orders are usually "ganged up" by color. Meaning that if there's a large order for a certain color, they will pull multiple orders of different toys at the same time. So if you happen to order toys in a popular color, those are likely to be fulfilled earlier as if they're already fulfilling another order in that color they can lump that part of your order in with a different toy being produced in the same color.
This is why the marbled ones came last - those are such a custom order that they have to wait until there's an open spot in production in order to get those done since no one else is ordering that color.
But the good news is that I ALSO happened ask for more figures in any other vinyl color that was being pulled - there was a darker maroon-ish color being pulled, and so I have a small quantity of those figures in-hand. Here's the body so you can see the difference with the magenta test pull I have.
I'm planning to do some customs for DesignerCon (Dec. 15-17 in Anaheim) using these as a base, but if anyone has ordered a magenta figure (or really, any figure color) and wants to swap for a maroon one, I'm happy to swap and ship it out sooner. Just comment here and I'll update your order.
Please let me know if you'd like one (especially if you're swapping for a lime or robin's egg) by this FRIDAY (November 17), so I can begin planning my paint run and customs for the show (and also ship out existing orders)! Otherwise, any extras of these maroon blanks will be sold to the general public at DCON.
Thanks again for all the patience and understanding, and I'll do my best to get you your demonic entities ASAP!
Cheers,
Rick
